Help for Xander

The story tells it all.....

I'm 10 years old and enjoy school but have trouble processing information when there is background noise. It's particularly difficult in a busy classroom and I used to miss bits of instructions, which meant I often found it hard to complete tasks. My hearing is normal but I was diagnosed with Auditory Processing Disorder and it was recommended that I try using an i-sense, which involves the teacher wearing a monitor with a microphone and me wearing a tiny earpiece. Basically the i-sense makes the teacher's voice louder and clearer in my ear and cuts out all the background noise. It's really good as it makes me concentrate much better and I don't worry any more about missing stuff any more. I had an i-sense on trial for a few months and found it made a big difference but once the trial ended, my parents needed to buy one. They're very expensive but Lifeline 4 Kids helped us out and I'm really grateful. I'm looking forward to going back to school and using my new i-sense!"

Good luck Xander!
