Swiss Cottage SEN School - London

Specialised play items for the special children of Swiss Cottage School

Swiss Cottage Special School in London has 150 children aged between 2 and 16 years with a range of learning difficulties and associated needs including emotional/behavioural and autistic spectrum and medical disorders including mental health. The school asked us for a set of specialised community playthings for their project entitled construction play, which involves children playing in an interactive and educational way linking together fun and learning. The focus of the project is to increase the children's confidence in play and building, using outside environments through a series of activities which link to the foundation stage curriculum. The items requested can be used both indoors and outdoors, so have the multiple benefits shown to complement learning. The cost is just over £1,500 and Lifeline 4 Kids has allocated the necessary funds to ensure that the children of Swiss Cottage School have the use of these special items.
