Recumbent trike for a deserving young lad......

10-year old L has Aspergers, severe sensory processing challenges and hypermobility. He has frequent meltdowns, very challenging behaviour and is overwhelmed by situations. Due to his difficulties L is unable to ride a traditional bike and was given use of a recumbent trike at an activity centre for the disabled. He absolutely loved it and begged his mum to buy him one but she simply couldn't afford the cost. Other charities had turned down the request saying that he is "not disabled enough". After assessing L's Paediatric Occupational Therapy report we had no doubt that the trike would greatly enhance L's quality of life and wellbeing so we were delighted buy one for him. His Mum wrote: -

Dear Lifeline 4 Kids,

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to you and the charity for purchasing my son the KMX recumbent trike I applied for.

L is over the moon with it, we've been out as a family a few times, all on our bikes and it was great! He has had lots of positive comments from passers by and I think he's feeling rather cool at the moment!

I have attached a couple of photos of L and his brother F on a ride and a thank you note from L.

Again, thank you so much - you have really helped us, and made a really positive impact on L's life!
