Help for 11 year old Ben

Ben H. from Canvey Island, Essex is a boisterous 11 year old lad who suffers from severe night seizures which sometimes results in loss of consciousness. He had fallen out of bed on many occasions and his anxious parents were becoming increasingly worried for his safety. They approached Lifeline 4 Kids after trying other charities without success. We investigated this appeal and quickly came to the conclusion that without help Ben was certainly in danger. We immediately purchased an Epileptic Seizure Monitor so that his parents are made aware instantaneously should Ben suffer a problem during the night. We also bought him a new low bed & mattress, anti suffocation pillows, a folding shower seat and a "very cool" epilepsy safety helmet.

His grateful Mum writes to us:

Without your help Ben would not be at his safest since his epilepsy was diagnosed. Knowing that Ben is safer now has relieved the stress and worry we had been feeling.
