Trinity School, Newcastle
This special needs school is for statemented children with behavioural difficulties. The aim is to give the children a positive attitude towards themselves and the hope of integrating them into society. Children are taken out hill walking 3 times every week and are taught to cook simple meals outdoors. They are planning to have at least 10 activity-based trips under canvas, working towards the Lord Mayor's scheme. We have spent over £3,500 on coats/shoes and gloves, which the school previously had to borrow together with other essentials needed to safely take the children walking.
