Local Authority would not provide Tony with a therapeutic bath but we did!
Tony is 16 years old and has Wolfe Hershbourne Syndrome. The effects are profound mental retardation and facial deformities, malformations of hands, feet and chest and spine etc. Tony needs 24-hour care. A bath is one of the few things he is able to enjoy particularly a whirlpool type which has tremendous therapeutic value and the local authority will not provide one. The total cost is £5,247. After Tony's family exhausted local fundraising we agreed to fund the remaining cost of almost £2,500 to enable Tony to have his therapeutic whirlpool bath and improve his quality of life.
