Halima L, - Luton

Halima is 15 years old and was brain damaged at birth. She has global development delay and severe learning difficulties, quadriplegia and severe epilepsy, having up to 60 seizures each day. She has recently had a gastrostophy. Halima has lost muscle tone by sitting in her wheelchair and is desperate to be able to stand up. The hospital recommended a special pneumatically lifting standing frame which will improve Halima's muscle tone and allow her to work on items on a tray in front of her. We are funding the cost of the standing frame and necessary extras at a total cost of almost £3,000 to improve the quality of Halima's life.
