Appeal for specialised communication switch systems.
Sally Anne, aged 11 has quadriplegia, scoliosis, epilepsy, learning disability, dislocated hip and visual impairment. Sally-Anne has no verbal communication but is very aware and responds with facial expressions. She communicates with eye pointing and is learning to head point so she can use appropriate switch systems. She is totally wheelchair dependent, needing postural support and has limited use of her arms and legs. We are funding the cost of £500 for specialised switch systems to enable Sally-Anne to communicate in the only way that she will be able to.....by moving her head. A small price to pay to enable a child to do what most of us take for granted. Good luck Sally-Anne.
