Amelia-Rose W. - Co.Durham

Specialist car seat for little Amelia-Rose........

Little Amelia-Rose suffers from congenital myasthenia syndrome and nystagmus and has very low muscle tone affecting her head and trunk for which she requires specialist seating. She is fed by nasogastric tube much of the time and is on oxygen at night and at times during the day. Her mum desperately needed a specialist car seat, which swiveled to allow for the oxygen and feeding machine when she was out with her. Funding for car seats was not considered by other charities approached but Lifeline 4 Kids came to the rescue. We had an assessment carried out on Amelia and bought and had fitted the appropriate car seat for this delightful child. Her Mum says.... "Yes we got it fitted and we tried it out this morning on the school run! It is absolutely fantastic, she loved facing forward and it reclines so it is brilliant for support. On behalf of us all can I thank you".
