What we do

We are a London based children’s charity established in 1961. Originally known as The Handicapped Children’s Aid Committee, our working name has now changed to Lifeline 4 Kids. Our members work on an entirely voluntary basis and we have no paid staff.

We were formed for one purpose – to provide essential equipment to help improve the quality of life for children with disabilities and special needs irrespective of their race or creed.

  • We help equip hospital neonatal units with the latest incubators, infusion pumps and ultrasonic monitors amongst other life saving equipment.
  • Children’s hospices, respite care homes and support centres throughout the UK also receive our help with equipment including beds, soft play and multi-sensory rooms.
  • For the individual child we provide the full spectrum of specialised equipment such as electric wheelchairs, mobility aids and varying items including specialised computers. We are also one of the only UK charities prepared to help a special needs child from a low-income family with essential smaller items such as shoes, clothing, bedding and specialist toys.
  • We are able to give emergency and welfare appeals immediate approval within the authorised limits of our welfare sub-committee.
  • No appeal is too large or too small for us to consider.
